Benjamin G I watched the series awhile back after its initial hype, and man what a messed up ride it was. As bizarre and wild (and farfetched) as its twists and turns are, I was pretty locked in through to the end. So I’ve decided to give it a second try. I like how the series takes place in a college setting, which always brings back nostalgia for me, but also because it has some smart writing that you don’t always get on TV. The show is a hot mess, however, it’s the character and relationship building, such as Frank and Laurel’s, that makes it an engaging watch. Long story short, it’s laughable how ridiculous it gets at times, which makes it entertaining in that respect, but makes it difficult to openly recommend to others. If you like mystery lawyer crime content with both young adult and adult themes, plus some genuinely bizarre moments, then HTGAWM might be right for you. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Danielle L This is by far one of the best tv shows i have watched. I binged it and have rewatched it a couple of times! Annalise Keating is just brilliant in this! Lots of shocking moments and cliff hangers! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Stephen D Characters make bad unrealistic decisions and have outbursts that make this show painful to watch Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/02/23 Full Review shiamu 7 The real mystery here is how they permitted to go beyond the first season this hilariously implausible story where all the possible and especially the impossible (read NOT REALISTIC) in the world happens within a group of a dozen people. As avid enthusiast of the genre me and my wife have gone from foretasting a new detective/legal drama to puzzlement to boredom to "ok c'mon, that's too far-fetched!". Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/23 Full Review Phranque T I watched this as others did, because of the rave reviews. With all the truly amazing writing going on in television for the last 20 years, the positive reviews are baffling. Viola Davis is an amazing actress, she has been great in everything I have seen her, As an actress she portray solid, dominant female characters. This show makes you suspend disbelief, and the biggest disbelief is Ms. Davis was sexual character. Much like Paul Giamotti, in Billions, it just falls flat. This combined with ABC's blatant attempt to be a family friendly network, but also being "woke" was insulting. Yes, there are gays, yes there are interracial couples...but ABC seemed to be patting themselves for putting it on air and patting themselves on the back way too much. This show is great for people that watch soap operas and hoping for good tv. I hate that Ms. Davis is associated with this show, she is a true talent in spite of this show.
